This list of books by Black Canadian writers was compiled by Azuke Kamdibe and shared here with permission. We’ve added a few titles to the list (indicated by an *). This is not a complete list, of course, but it’s a good start.
In the first Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts podcast of 2020, Sean Eckford sits down (remotely) with festival board president John Lussier and artistic and executive director Jane Davidson to talk about the decision to cancel the 2020 event and all the things the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts is working on, despite the disruption caused by the pandemic.
We miss you! We miss your calls and your visits to the office. We miss the energy that starts to build right about now. We even miss the chaos that erupts when the phone lines open and online sales go live.

Thank you for your patience and for giving us the time and space we needed to make a really difficult decision. We are very sad to announce the cancellation of the 38th Festival of the Written Arts that was scheduled to take place August 13-16, 2020.
The Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts is seeking a Volunteer Co-ordinator/Administrative Assistant. This is a temporary position: Tuesday, May 19 to Friday, August 21.
