Thank you for your patience and for giving us the time and space we needed to make a really difficult decision. We are very sad to announce the cancellation of the 38th Festival of the Written Arts that was scheduled to take place August 13-16, 2020.
2019 Festival dates are August 15-18.

In two days, we will gather to celebrate this Festival’s 35th anniversary and the wonderful Canadian writers who inspire, enlighten, educate, entertain and sustain us all year long. We also celebrate you, our audience of readers, who buy tickets and books and support Canadian writers and literary festivals!
