Many thanks to all who have already contacted us about volunteering for this year’s festival! If you are a past volunteer, or someone who is interested in volunteering for the first time, you’re invited to one of our drop-in orientation meetings. We would love to hear feedback about your experiences volunteering at the festival and answer questions about the different volunteer positions available.
While you’re here you can meet other volunteers, help yourself to tea and coffee, browse for some free books and magazines, and enter a raffle for gift certificates to local businesses. (You don’t have to stay for the whole two hours… unless you want to!)

- Wednesday, May 22 | 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Both drop-in meetings will be held in the Rockwood Lodge Living Room and Dining Room, Rockwood Centre, Sechelt.
If you’re interested in being a TICKET-TAKER, you will be able to try out the festival’s new online ticketing platform with Front of House Manager Pat Dalgleish on both April 22 and May 22. Beverage and Food Manager Lynn Grossutti will be on hand to talk about our BEVERAGE BOOTH and CASHIER volunteer positions on April 22. Would you like to learn more about joining our STAGE CREW? Stage Manager Norma Brow will be available on May 22 to answer any questions you might have.
You don’t need to sign-up in advance to attend one of the volunteer orientation meetings, and attendance is optional, but please feel free to email me at marisa(at)writersfestival.ca with any questions.
