Keith Maillard is a prolific writer of formidable talent. He is the author of 14 novels including Motet, winner of the Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize; The Clarinet Polka, winner of the Creative Arts Prize by the Polish American Historical Association; Hazard Zones, which was nominated for the Commonwealth Literary Prize; and Gloria, which was shortlisted for the Governor General’s Literary Award. His poetry collection, Dementia Americana, won the Gerald Lampert Award for best first book of poetry published in Canada. His latest work, the much anticipated novel, Twin Studies, examines the intricate connections between twins and siblings, friends and lovers, while also exploring the nature of gender and sexuality. Called “extraordinary” and “the perfect product of our times,” Twin Studies is a deeply layered novel blessed with beautiful prose and a compelling story.
