Multi-talented Amber Dawn is the author of several award-winning books including the poetry collection Where the words end and my body begins, the novel Sub Rosa, and the memoir How Poetry Saved My Life. Her most recent book, My Art is Killing Me and Other Poems, is deeply personal and politically impassioned.
Jillian Christmas is the host and curator of this event and an award-winning spoken word artist. She is an educator, activist and community organizer well-known on the Coast for her work in schools and with LGBTQ2+ youth. Her debut collection of poetry, The Gospel of Breaking, has been called “beautiful” and “mesmerizing.”
Lucia Misch is a poet and spoken word artist whose works have been published in many anthologies and journals. Her first collection of poetry, The Problem with Solitaire, was published in 2020 and has been called “heartbreaking and hilarious” and “pure brilliance.”
